RoboLancers Tech Week is a new initiative started by the RoboLancers during the 2019 season. It is a series of symposiums, workshops and panels at Central High School which all students are invited to attend during their advisory periods. The event runs for one week in which five different symposiums are being held. RoboLancers Tech Week is held the week before the actual Philadelphia Tech Week to allow access to Advanced Placement students who would typically have their tests that week. The first RoboLancers tech week featured events such as a Women in STEM Panel, Programming Workshops, and a Meet the RoboLancers Symposium. The goal of this week-long event is to expose the Central student body to both FIRST and STEM.
In the 2020-21 season we were all virtual so we modified our plans. We hosted a virtual STEM college panel for students at our school to promote STEM in higher education. We had representatives from various schools to talk about their STEM programs.
